ADULT DOG BEHAVIOUR THERAPY AND TRAINING |
I offer a holistic and non-violent approach to solving
behaviour problems on a personal, 1-2-1 home consultation basis. |
|
Many unwanted, inappropriate or unacceptable behaviours are symptomatic
of a dog that is coping with stress and the subsequent strain
that this places upon the relationship between dog and owner,
and therefore attempting to change a dog's behaviour without first
reducing or removing stress triggers and opening up clear channels
of communication, rarely brings about a satisfactory, humane and
lasting solution.
Depending on the cause of the problem, some clients require only
an initial consultation, while others require one or two follow-up
consultations. More serious or complex problems (such as some
forms of aggression) may take many months to resolve, and may
require a number of different approaches including dietary trials,
and consultation with the dog's veterinary surgeon to check for
possible physical or biological causes.
Please note that my working area is within a 30 minute drive
of Middleton Cheney, Oxfordshire. Observing a dog in its home
environment is fundamental to the way in which I work, which means
that if you live beyond a 30 minute drive from Middleton Cheney,
regrettably, I am unable to offer you this service. Without observing
a dog in its home environment I can only provide general opinions
and advice, and I therefore urge you to seek a home consultation
from another canine professional who possesses a sound knowledge
of dog psychology and behaviour, as well as basic dog training
experience. In the meantime I hope that my website provides you
with a clearer insight into the dog's mind, and why it's so important
to resolve the source, not the symptoms, of troublesome behaviour.

"We
owe Lizi so much for the time and support she has given us. We had
really come to the end of the road with our black labrador Holly
after seeing many so-called experts whose advice didn't help at
all. Then I contacted Lizi. And boy are we glad we did! After the
first initial phonecall of 2 hours we haven't looked back. She really
has made our family so happy. Going through hard times with your
dog can be truely heartbreaking but with Lizi there to guide us
we have come out of it all so strong. And most importantly we have
a very happy, healthy contented dog. Lizi cares and continues to
keep contact with us to continually guide us through situations.
We can't thank her enough. One of life's very special people."
